Rajkiyakritya Odiya Middle School

 The most emotional part of this experience was to know that 50 students are living in the school. The principal is a strong woman and I hope she can carry out this project.

We've done a volunteer work at this school playing and sharing some experience with the students. One thing that I see over and over is that to achieve excellent results you need your team emotionally engaged. I appreciate the opportunity to spend this morning with them.

Home sick

Carol -I felt home sick today...Michelle is my peer to support me so everything is fine now. Szandra and Manju also helped me a lot, Szandra with shopping for Durga and Manju by helping me to dress the sari. Tomorrow we are going to visit a public school and we planned some activities to play with the students. The entire team goes along well. Kim started to joing us at our evenings dinners which makes me happy. The photo is from IBM office in Rio, this is the view I have when working from the office.

What are we doing in India?

We are here to make recommendations to School of Hope that has mentally challenged students. Our recommendations include process improvement and best practices. We are visiting many stakeholders that can help us to have a better understanding of the challenges. That is the reason you see us in so many places: schools, hospital, offices.

We were showing to students where we live using the globe. Students were very helpful explaining whatelse they would like to have in the school. They are mentally challenged but know what they  need.

PAMHJ  and Tata procurement and club

The visit at Pamhj was very important to understand how to make candles suitable to the regional market. They have around 20 students and some of them are working in candle production.

Flowers

Flowers are every where and most of them are this type. They also have the habbit of putting flowers in statues to show appreciation. The ritual we've participated at School last week also  offered flowers to the God. 🌸💐🌷🌻🌺
